What is mercury poisoning?

Mercury is one of the most toxic elements.  It (along with other heavy metals such as aluminum, arsenic, antimony, cadmium, copper and lead) can ruin your health and your life.

There are lots of ways to become poisoned.  Here is a partial list of sources of mercury:

  • amalgam (or silver) dental fillings
  • vaccines and injections
  • fish
  • mercury in the environment from mining
  • mercury in agriculture
  • broken mercury-containing devices
  • medical products
  • spills
  • certain antiques
  • cosmetic
  • paint
